I always feel so open after your class - airy, so to speak. Good sensations. You are a terrific teacher. Coming from Patricia Walden’s practice circle, I tend to be quite fussy. Your rhythm, sequence and instructions are a great fit for me. Thank you for your offerings. P.W.
Just wanted to thank you for being a GREAT Yoga Teacher. I really enjoy your classes and appreciate your taking the time to explain what we are doing and why, and for actually doing all the moves with us and explaining how to get the most benefit from each move. Best of all is your soothing gentle voice and touch during shavasana. I am so happy I found your class. E.C.
I wanted to let you know that me and D. had a fantastic time at the partner yoga class. We had not laughed that hard in a long time and we got a great workout as well. …You are a terrific teacher and Karl is a great "teacher's assistant.” S.M.
When I leave Ruth's Hatha Yoga class,
I need to get reacquainted with my body,
Because all the little stresses and tensions
That I thought were a part of me,
Like my fingers and my toes,
Are gone. V.K.
Not so long ago a friend of mine suggested we take classes in Yoga. … With some trepidation I decided to take the classes. … I attended my first class like it was my first day of school with all the anxiety that accompanies the unknown. Within only a few minutes of meeting the instructor, Ruth, I felt less anxious and ready to begin a new adventure. … the experience has been wonderful. Not only have I learned many of the Yoga positions but have gained in feeling physically better and more at peace with my world. Yoga, for me, is more than exercise, it has such a positive effect on my body, mind and spirit. The class has been gentle with this old body and I will forever be grateful to my friend who suggested these classes but wasn't able to attend. J.G.
Attending a yoga class with instructor, Ruth Lieberherr, is a weekly rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit for me. Ruth incorporates movements to improve balance, posture, strength and flexibility while emphasizing the importance of breath. She encourages us to listen to our bodies while always being aware of each student’s individual needs and medical concerns.
Her extensive background in the arts serves as an added benefit to the class; her pleasant demeanor and patient direction enables us to concentrate more fully on the poses.
She encourages us to take this time for ourselves and what better way to do this than
being under the aegis of such an excellent instructor as Ruth Lieberherr. D.C.
I have some shortness of breath due to Bronchiolitis. The deep breathing in yoga has helped my breathing and kept it at a good level. The balancing in yoga is good for me and everyone, helping prevent falls, so common to senior citizens. Ruth Lieberherr is a fine teacher and helps senior citizens with any limitations adjust to the movements. D.B.
Ruth is an excellent instructor of hatha yoga. She is clear in her description of the poses and is careful to tailor them to the experience level and injury status of participants in the class. Her dedication to her work is impressive with many dollars and hours of her own time spent on professional development. C.O.
